A man was shot on South 2nd Avenue in Mount Vernon on Friday morning and transported to the Jacobi Medical Center, officials confirmed. According to a News12 report, he was sitting on the porch at the time of the shooting.
The shooting remains under investigation. No other information has been released, police said. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
